Job description

Key areas:

• Anchoring the strategic framework and roadmap for driving an enterprise level innovation program aligned with organization’s vision & objectives

• Effectively managing innovation projects and taking them to logical closure with measurable outcomes

• Taking up required initiatives to continuously generate new ideas, opportunities & relevant innovation projects for various areas of the organization

• Keeping management & various stakeholders regularly engaged around various facets of the innovation agenda

Activities:

• Regular scanning of external environment, technology, competition, sectors etc. for new trends, best practices and other areas of learning to continuously provide inputs to the organization on new opportunities

• Designing & driving various initiatives, system enablers, communication, campaigns, contests etc. to build employee engagement for continuous generation of ideas and encourage maximum number of employees to contribute

• Scouting for and partnering with various external experts & service providers to build capabilities, implement technologies and deliver solutions to address various organizational & functional objectives

• Meticulously keeping a track of every idea and getting them implemented through project management based approaches and engagement with various stakeholders & departments

• Organizing & conducting timely workshops, forums & councils with various levels in the organization based on relevant objectives to be met such as opportunity identification, ideation, prioritization, project steering & driving execution

• Designing & maintaining proper documentation such as project charter, project plan, communication calendar, activity tracker etc.

• Providing support to various innovation projects around project management, documentation, external scanning, conducting research or any other groundwork as required

• Leading specific innovation projects, managing the project delivery team / squad and taking complete ownership of effectively delivering the expected outcomes

• Disseminating information & insights to various parts within the organization to create awareness, bring in external learning, provide stimulus and drive culture of innovation

• Driving corporate communication initiatives to publicize, create awareness and suitably position innovation efforts taken by the brand

• Creative thinking, inquisitive, eager to probe existing practices and always looking out for fresh ideas

• Strong communication skills, especially verbal and is very comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels

• Good business understanding

• Good data and analytical skills

• Comfortable with ambiguity and working with minimum instructions

• Should be able to conceptualize, define, provide structure & plan out next steps for tasks or projects assigned

Qualifications:

• Certified or hands-on experience in project management, especially around lean and agile methodologies
